Local News from Sri Lanka: Today, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau will launch its recent worldwide TV advertising campaign with CNN featuring the brand new’ So Sri Lanka ‘ destination. Commercial places throughout CNN International channels in Europe, Middle East, Africa feed, Asia Pacific feed, and South Asia feed will operate for 3 months from Friday, September 20.
This focused high-frequency prime-time advertising will provide a much-needed understanding of the destination among customers globally, particularly in tourism-generating economies in Sri Lanka.
In addition to global TV advertising, this consumer awareness campaign on the destination will include CNN Editorial, Travel Sri Lanka vignettes, and feature a Great Big Story. SLTPB will start a three-month TV media advertising campaign with CNN to have visibility in tourism-generating markets, to revive the destination’s popularity in consumers ‘ minds.

We are already seeing improvement; customer knowledge such as this will assist us to recover where it was previously in the tourism industry. In addition, in the past, the SLTPB has advertised with CNN on two campaigns in 2014 and 2018.
