Local News from Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka’s national exhibition of inventions and innovations “Sahasak Nimavum–2019” will be held in Colombo from 20-22 September. Organized as an annual event by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC), this year the exhibition will be held for the first time at the Sri Lankan Exhibition and Convention Center (SLECC) with the participation of foreign inventors.
Local inventors ‘ presentations for this exhibition were chosen from the School, University and Tertiary Educational Institutions, Open and Commercial levels in 14 categories through evaluations at the provincial level. Sri Lanka Inventors Commissioner Prof. Rangika Halwatura said opening the exhibition to international inventors would be a turning point in the history of the exhibition.
This will also be a excellent chance for local inventors to exhibit their talent and expertise. Medals, certificates, and monetary grants will be given to winners of the Sahasak Nimavum contest. They will also be able to represent Sri Lanka at global exhibitions of creation.
