Business News from Sri Lanka: For the first time in October, Colombo will host the 2019 API Asia Conference in an effort to help transform the ICT sector, as well as quickly monitor efforts to ensure a digitally savvy Sri Lanka. The conference will be held in Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo on 2 October and will be organized by the ICT Industry Apex Body, Sri Lanka Federation of Information Technology Industry (FITIS).
The event will attract over 700 experts including industry and company leaders as well as developers and architects seeking insights into how their businesses can benefit from the digital transformation and move forward in a competitive marketplace.
The conference theme is’ Connect, Collaborate & Transform’ and will feature a line-up of worldwide speakers from Australia, the U.S. and Asia Pacific that will share inspirational and insightful ideas throughout the conference. Several main tracks covering Biz, Tech, Banking, Finance, Insurance, Telecom, Digital Gov., and Smart City will concentrate on the meeting.
The conference’s ultimate goal is to assist Sri Lankan and regional businesses realize the significance of moving away from standard company methodologies and transforming their businesses digitally, ultimately enhancing customer experience, optimizing activities and improving the business model.
The meeting is open to businesses already in the API and platform game, as well as to businesses growing and beginning to see the difficulties of providing services to a big amount of customers.
