Business News from Sri Lanka: At the recently concluded Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2019, Sri Lanka’s leading private-sector commercial bank, HNB, once again delivered notable performance, ranked among the Ten Best Integrated Reports for 2019.
Organized by the Sri Lankan Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA), the awards included involvement from a broad range of listed and non-listed firms, including state-owned and tiny and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). “The performance of HNB at the 2019 CMA Integrated Reporting Awards represents the complete dedication with which we take on our obligation to report transparently and precisely to our valued stakeholders on the results of the bank. While a significant amount of resources and efforts are needed to maintain these standards, such a relationship is essential to maintaining the highest corporate governance standards. The Bank will continue to refine its reporting protocols to preserve and improve the quality commitment to guarantee accountability at all times, “said Anusha Gallage, HNB Chief Financial Officer.
The Bank has earned ongoing praise over the previous year for its pioneering projects across the full spectrum of its activities. Notably, in the recent past, the prestigious Asian Banker Magazine also awarded HNB ‘ Best Managed Bank in Sri Lanka,’ while the Bank’s Managing Director / CEO, Jonathan Alles, was also awarded the Asian Banker’s’ CEO Leadership Achievement ‘ award–both of which are given out only every three years.
