Economy News from Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka’s diverse conglomerate Sunshine Holdings PLC (CSE: SUN) would support the country’s leading summit for important policymakers, company leaders, thought leaders, and professionals for the fifth successive year, the 2019 Economic Summit. Hosted annually by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), the country’s leading financial event would take place at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, on September 17 and 18.
Organized under the theme’ Re-calibrating Sri Lanka’s Economic Trajectory Towards 2025 (RE-SET 2025),’ the two-day summit would bring together thought leaders in many fields–including top scientists, celebrities from the overseas and local private industry, experts and leading government sector figures–on a single platform to discuss and explore alternatives to the country’s main financial problems. The theme was appropriately selected to represent the need to re-calibrate the economy’s status quo and the country’s general growth path.
For Sri Lanka to realize its real financial potential, the Summit would deliberate on important suggestions and reforms that would need to be implemented in the period leading up to 2025.
