Vehicle News from Sri Lanka: Ferrari F8 Tributo does, rather cleverly, fuse the Ferrari 488 Pista’s feral 711bhp twin-turbo V8 engine with a more comfortable 488 GTB’s updated version.
And now you can mix more headroom with those components with a whole load. Because the F8 has moved its fixed-in-place roof to an electrically retractable one, like the 458 Spider and 488 Spider before it. This is the Ferrari F8 Spider, predictably.
It’s 20 kg lighter than the old 488 Spider, not to mention 50bhp lighter, but it’s almost 40 kg lighter than the McLaren 720S Spider.
As normal, Ferrari claims all the aerodynamic bits and bobs have been redesigned to maintain the cabin free from gale-force winds while maintaining the right cooling requirements and strengthening bodywork priorities. In 24 seconds, the roof engines are gone and as long as you’re not above 28 miles an hour, that’s going to occur on the move too.
It will cost about £ 210,000 before selecting many lightweight carbon fiber alternatives. And you’re going to need them, plus an eye-catching leather hue in the cabin. After all, this is a convertible–you must create the cockpit spec a winner. Keep an eye on the setup.
