Mobile News from Sri Lanka: At the IFA 2019 trade show on September 5th at 1 pm CEST (12 pm BST), Sony Mobile will launch new hardware. That shouldn’t be a surprise, for as long as we can remember, Sony introduced new Xperia handsets at the Berlin-based trade show. The first pics of the recent Xperia flagship are what we can share.
You can see that it has a comparable 21:9 shape factor as the Xperia 1, as well as a triple camera set-up, although the latter’s place has shifted from the center to the top left. Judging from the pictures, Sony held the dedicated camera button, including the recessed fingerprint sensor, with other button positioning comparable to the Xperia 1.
For now, the Xperia 1 successor’s specs remain a mystery, but 5 G might be on the cards, with Sony showcasing a number of prototypes previously this year. We will keep you posted as quickly as we have any additional data.
