Financial News from Sri Lanka: At the lately completed Effie Awards 2019 at Water’s Edge Battaramulla, Softlogic Life Insurance PLC became the youngest Sri Lankan brand and the only insurance brand in Sri Lanka to walk away with the coveted’ Brand of the Year ‘ prize. Softlogic Life has earned a total of five prizes— two Golds, one Silver, and two Finalists, making it the only Sri Lankan brand in history to win two gold awards in a year.
Softlogic Life won the’ Brand of the Year ‘ award for its unique’ Leda Leda ‘ campaign that changed insurance perception in the nation and became the most talked-about communication piece last year due to its creativity, efficiency, quality of the application and engaging value. The winning campaign was considered Gold quality by the jury panel with creative and efficient advertising selection criteria. The’ Brand of the Year ‘ award makes Softlogic Life the only financial services brand in Sri Lanka to ever win this Effie Awards accolade.
The other prizes that Softlogic Life won at Effies 2019 were two Gold awards in the categories ‘ David vs Goliath’ and’ Insurance,’ the Silver award in the category’ Use of Influencers’ and two Finalists awards in the categories ‘ Corporate Reputation’ and’ Media Partnership.’ Softlogic Life now joins an elite circle of products that have won Gold prizes; only 10 Gold awards have bee prizes;
