Business News from Sri Lanka: Munchee was the sponsor of the recently held 42nd SIGNIS Salutation Awards at the BMICH, where numerous awards were presented to Sri Lankan television and cinema artists in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the respective areas.
Ceylon Biscuits Limited, Munchee’s flagship brand supported this event with the aim to foster local arts and culture as an essential component of their platform for corporate social responsibility.
The Sri Lankan Catholic Cinema Parshadaya, the local branch of the World Catholic Communication Organization, arranged this event.
The 2019 SIGNIS Sri Lanka Awards Ceremony was awarded by SIGNIS International’s Secretary-General, Ricardo Yáñez, and Most Rev. Dr. Mylo Vergara, Bishop of Pasig, Philippines, along with a panel of representatives from European nations and other local officials.

Based on the theme of ‘Montage of Humanity’ this year’sSIGNIS awards focused on bringing all Sri Lankans together with the aim of creating peace and harmony whilst uniting and healing distressed hearts using the media platform of television and cinema.
