Business News from Sri Lanka: Recently, the diversified LAUGFS Holdings conglomerate extended another initiative in partnership with HelpAge Sri Lanka (HASL) to provide free Medical and Eye Camp including cataract surgery for nearly 250 parents employees.
The program was run by the Welfare Society of the LAUGFS Group and funded through its various fundraising initiatives. The Medical and Eye Camp was held at the Colombo 06 head office of LAUGFS.
The Medical Camp offered free screenings and other medical aid to less privileged recipients over the age of 55. At HelpAge Eye Hospital, Wellawatte, eighteen recipients underwent free cataract surgery. Additionally, bifocal and reading glasses were provided to the needy recipients.
