Former Sri Lankan pacer Nuwan Kulasekara retired with instant impact from global cricket. Renowned for his capacity to swing the new ball both ways, the 37-year-old leaves behind Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga as Sri Lanka’s third-highest ODI wicket-taker with 199 scalps in 184 games. With 66 wickets in 58 games, Kulasekara is also Sri Lanka’s second-highest joint wicket-taker in T20Is.
Among Sri Lankans, only Lasith Malinga has more T20I wickets than he has.
