With the only 120Hz 10-bit HDR screen, an unmatched set of accessories and important alliances with game designers, the Asus ROG Phone II gives the ultimate smartphone gaming experience.
The Armoury Crate is the game launcher of Asus. It enables you to customize each game’s settings, e.g. whether to operate the screen in 120Hz mode and whether to enable high-performance X-mode. There is also the Game Genie to manage stuff such as notifications, incoming calls, and brightness locking.
The front-facing stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support are flanked by the display, so multi-channel audio can be simulated. They were beefed up with bigger rooms that made them 2.5x louder on the first-gen ROG Phone than the speakers.
The AirTriggers are also new and enhanced. Now you can put your fingers on them as you would on real triggers, when you press down they will be able to say. They acknowledge a fresh gesture of swiping as well.
Two vibration engines are available, one on the left and one on the right. This can be used for directional haptic feedback in matches (e.g. asphalt 9). The AirTriggers also use them both when pressing down and releasing to simulate real buttons. Asus enhanced the engines to decrease the triggers ‘ vibration feedback latency to 20ms.
