Sri Lanka’s Board of Investments (BOI) and Edotco Sri Lanka, an integral provider of telecommunications infrastructure services, agreed to invest in the most recent smart city solutions and energy-efficient systems in order to develop the connectivity landscape of this country.
The BOI provides Edotco Sri Lanka with the authorization, in the next 3 years, to deploy intelligent urban alternatives across the nation.
The installation of 1,000 intelligent poles across the nation will be a major component of this project. The Smart City Solutions from Edotco presents new technological developments in various connectivity solutions. These multifunctional and innovative solutions are smart, camouflaged, green, and combine with the urban planning of modern metropolises, understanding of the importance of esthetics for urban development.
In addition to being the mobile network operators ‘ (MNOs), these intelligent urban connectivity systems also have integrated safety and monitoring functions, advertising space, environmentally friendly street information resources, smart street lighting, smart parking, and even natural disaster tracking systems. The firm is also partnering with partners to supply the multifunctional poles for electric charging stations and so forth.
Under this agreement, edotco will also deploy power-efficient systems which will reduce fuel consumption and energy efficiency and will lower capital costs for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), allow them to concentrate on their core business and to improve service standards further.
