On Monday (July 8), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stated that safety clearance was granted to visit Sri Lanka for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series.
BCB has raised some issues about traveling to the island country following the April terrorist attacks. However, BCB decided to send their own safety team for inspection after Sri Lanka Cricket promised to provide them with the greatest level of safety. We are pleased with the safety plan they supplied for the trip,” Nizamuddin Chowdhury, chief executive of BCB, told Cricbuzz. “We decided to continue the trip to Sri Lanka after obtaining favorable outcomes from our safety team.” The Bangladesh team will be flying on July 23 for the three-game series to be played in Colombo on July 26, 28 and 31. At the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, all matches will be played.
