Dialog Axiata PLC, has recently been announced by Tenaga Car Parks Pvt Ltd in a Public-Private Partnership with the Colombo Municipal Council as the exclusive technology partner for the launch of the Touch Parking Card.
As a payment solution for issuing parking tickets, the Touch Parking Card offers NFC (Near-field Communication) technology. The service will also allow customers to make payments safer via eZ Cash and add to billing facilities, providing greater comfort and a cashless payment method that is readily available.
The launch of the Touch Parking Card follows the implementation in Colombo by Tenaga Car Parks Pvt Ltd of street parking meters and POS (Point of Sales) equipment, in line with the Colombo Municipal Council Directive.
Services will be accessible from Galle Face to Wellawatta on Galle Road and Duplication Road as part of stage one of the project. As a result, customers using this touching card will be able to use the stored value of the card to pay for parking tickets or may extend hours from Dialog Mobile or eZ Cash, the first and biggest mobile money and payment service in Sri Lanka.
