Powerloom Council for Development and Export Promotions (PDEXCIL), established by the Textiles Ministry, Govt. The ‘ India International Textiles Expo ‘ (IIT Expo Colombo 2019) is organizing a cum buyer meeting in India from 29 to 31 July at Hotel Galadari, Colombo.
Trade visitors from the garment industry, major importers, wholesalers, bulk buyers, and institutional buyers will participate.
PDEXCIL works on the objective of overall development of power loom industry of India and promotion of marketing of power loom products, including exports with the active support and guidance from Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India to support Indian manufacturer-exporters.
To achieve this objective PDEXCIL organizes various market promotional activities such as seminar, workshop, Buyer Seller Meet, etc. and also participate and organize exhibition cum Buyer Seller Meet in India and abroad.
The third edition of IIT Expo Colombo 2019 will be a great platform for Indian textile manufacturers/exporters to directly interact with Sri Lanka’s textile importers/buyers and apparel manufacturers. Exhibitors from all over India are participating in the event, displaying varieties of textiles under ‘Incredible Textiles of India’.
More than 40 Indian exhibitors from major power loom clusters of India such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Erode, Coimbatore, Ichalkaranji, Solapur will be displaying fabrics, yarn and made-ups in various blends, texture, color, designs, etc. suitable for apparel, industrial and technical application.
“Buyers of Sri Lanka can look for a variety of products such as cotton fabrics, check shirting, polyester cotton blend, poly-viscose, suiting fabrics, terry towel, bath towel, dress material, etc,” an official from PDEXCIL said.
PDEXCIL also keep good relation with various textile trade Associations and Govt. Agencies. PDEXCIL is organizing IITExpo Colombo 2019, which will provide a first-hand experience to Sri Lanka Buyers to interact directly with a diversified group of Indian textile manufacturers/exporters.
India Overall is the second in terms of Fabric exports to Sri Lanka and IITE 2019 would further enhance this in the future.
